The Teacher Evaluation Survey is a continual process and we hope that forth coming surveys will reflect greater motivation and a healthier and positive competition to secure positions on the victory stand, he added.
He hoped that KMU and its institutes under the charismatic leadership, guidance, encouragement and support of Secretary Health Mr. Munir Azam Khan and that of Special Secretary Health Prof. Dr. Noor ul Iman will transform Khyber Medical University into an organization of international repute.
It is worth mentioning that HEC established Quality Enhancement Cell in KMU in 2009-10. QEC was struggling to impart quality education through assessment and feedback of stakeholders. Teachers Evaluation was a routine survey conducted in Institutes at the end of semester to find out the students feedback about their teachers regarding their classroom teaching performance The survey suffices the requirements of implementation of quality assurance mechanisms devised by the HEC as one of the feedback mechanisms to improve the system of imparting education in a class room setting, pivoting around four basic pillars of teaching philosophy i.e. Planning and Management, Communication and Time Management Skills synergized with the strength of behavior of the teachers to maintain a conducive learning environment.
QEC KMU conducted this survey in June, 2011 in all institutes of KMU. Data compiled, analyzed and report. This report is provided to each teacher for their self improvement. Institutes ranked on the basis of teachers concerned teaching performance and teachers were ranked within their institutes. According to the survey results in IBMS Dr. Najeebullah got 1st position as best teacher while in IPH&SS, IPM&R and PGCN, Dr. Waqar Ali, Dr. Rashid Mehmud and Dr. Momin Khan secured 1st position being a best teacher respectively. At the end of the function Secretary Health & Special Secretary Health distributed certificates among the best teachers.
